Format:
5 ends are shot in one night. An end consists of 6 Arrows. A perfect score is a 300. We're using vegas 3-spot targets this year.
Handicaps:
Handicaps are calculated by taking 80% of the difference between
shooter's average and max score. The average is based on the
previous three weeks, so as the league progresses, the handicap
adjusts and the earlier (poorer) scores are dropped from the
calculations. The formula is (week1+week2+week3)/3 That number is
then subtracted from 300 and multipled by .8 to determine the
individual's handicap.
Red: 265 average or higher.
Yellow: 240 average to 264.9.
Green: less than a 240 average.
The first week of the league adults and juniors shoot a yellow handicap.
If a shooter does not shoot the first week of the league, when they do shoot they must shoot a red handicap for their 1st score.
Regardless of a shooters handicap, it is only possible to shoot a 300.
